Don't speak, just pray — that's how Gwen Stefani has suggested she became pregnant with son Apollo at age 44.

In a new interview with the payment-based Catholic prayer app Hallow, the No Doubt singer-songwriter opened up about expanding her family in 2014 with then-partner and fellow musician, Gavin Rossdale.

"I started working with this guy, and he was an atheist Jew that converted after being atheist, growing up in Israel. He was studying the Torah, and he had this big epiphany, awakening," Stefani, now 56, said. "He starts talking to me about the Torah. I was desperate at this point to, during all this, I really wanted to have another baby, I really did, and I couldn't. I was old."

Stefani said her conversation with the unnamed man and his praise for the Torah started "waking me up" to new possibilities — and that her oldest son, Kingston, informed her at the time that he wanted her to have another baby, too.

The superstar said she told Kingston, "Sorry, your mommy's too old to have a baby now," but that he prayed, asking, "Please, God, let my mom have a baby."

Stefani said his actions moved her — and, apparently, moved a higher power as well: "I never taught him that, really. I think it was like four weeks later, I was pregnant with Apollo, who I had at 44 years old — naturally, totally full-on gift. That was the first miracle!"

The entertainer has received criticism from fans over her endorsement of the Hallow app, with some calling it a "pay to pray" app, though the platform offers limited free service.

Stefani and Rossdale were married from 2002 to 2016, and share three children, including the aforementioned Kingston, Apollo, and a third son, Zuma.

The musician went through a highly publicized breakup with Rossdale, with the process inspiring a significant portion of her 2016 album *This Is What the Truth Feels Like*, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — her first solo album to do so.

"I don't have any secrets; I don't have anything to hide. I haven't done anything wrong," Stefani told ** in an interview for the album, which she said at the time also chronicled a more joyous angle of the breakup process.

"I'm happy to share my story. [This] is really the only record I've written that's mostly happy; all the others are about heartbreak," she said. "And there's some of that on here—it needed that, to make the rest feel as good as it feels."

Stefani would go on to marry country singer Blake Shelton, with whom she's released four popular duets, including "You Make It Feel Like Christmas," "Nobody But You," "Happy Anywhere," and "Purple Irises."**

Madison Beer is returning the love she received on her own birthday earlier this month. This time, with a heartfelt tribute to her boyfriend, Justin Herbert. She took to Instagram to celebrate the Los Angeles Chargers star's 28th birthday. The singer posted a series of affectionate photos and playful memories from their time together over the past several months.

Madison Beer wishes 'baby boy' Justin Herbert on his birthday: 'So lucky to be yours'

"I am so lucky to be yours," Beer wrote in one caption, adding, "You are my dream come true." Beer's birthday post featured several personal snapshots of the couple. In one photo, Herbert carries the singer through a field. Beer was quick to highlight how lucky she feels to be with him. She wrote "Happy birthday, baby boy" over a nighttime video of Herbert and tagged his name underneath.

Beer included a clip from October showing the two attending a Los Angeles Lakers game together. Sitting courtside, Herbert quickly stepped in to block a stray basketball that came flying toward them. Beer jokingly wrote "Lifesaver" in her caption.

Rumors about the relationship first began swirling in August 2025 after Herbert was reportedly spotted visiting one of Beer's video shoots. Not long after, the two were seen spending time together at a friend's house in Redondo Beach, California, where they appeared comfortable and affectionate with each other. Those early sightings quickly fueled speculation that the pop star and the NFL quarterback had become one of entertainment and sports' newest couples.

Since then, Beer has frequently appeared at Herbert's games during the 2025 NFL season, cheering him on from the stands as the Chargers quarterback led his team on the field. Beer's presence at several games quickly placed her in the spotlight among NFL fans. Meanwhile, Herbert has shown his support for Beer's music career and public appearances, including the affectionate birthday message he posted earlier this month for her 27th birthday.

Liza Minnelli is pulling back the curtain on her mother Judy Garland's relationship with Frank Sinatra.

In her new memoir, *Kids, Wait Till You Hear This!*, Minnelli detailed the "passionate love" between the *Wizard of Oz *star and the man she affectionately referred to as "Uncle Frank."

Minnelli recalled how Sinatra was among the guests her parents Garland and Vincente Minnelli would invite over for parties. She also "spent hours" in her room, "learning songs" Sinatra sang. She also said he was one of the first people to hold her when she was born, calling him "always present in our lives" and loving her family — especially Garland.

"During the time my parents were married, I eventually figured out that there was more between Frank and Mama than friendship. Much more," wrote Minnelli. She called Sinatra and Garland "very complicated, mercurial, intense human beings."**

Minnelli said that Garland would "always back away from a deeper commitment." "Yet it diminishes their relationship to call it an 'affair.' It was certainly more than that, and deeply romantic," Minnelli wrote. Despite Garland being married several times throughout her life, Minnelli said that Sinatra was "one of the greatest loves, if not the greatest love, of her life."

The *Cabaret *actress also said that Sinatra once bought her mother a dazzling and "terribly chic" Tiffany & Co. Sixteen Stone Ring by Jean Schlumberger, dripping in diamonds. Garland wore it, but never on the finger Sinatra had hoped for.

When Garland died in 1969, Sinatra offered to pay for her funeral and burial, added Minnelli. "He was always there for us," she wrote.**

Elsewhere in her memoir, Minnelli recalled touring with Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. in the 1980s, stepping in for Dean Martin after he fell ill. She became close with Ol' Blue Eyes during this time, but she did note that he could be difficult.

"He got cranky some nights, and when that happened I'd just leave the room," she wrote, noting that no one wanted to be in his presence "when he got into one of those moods," even if you weren't at fault.

Minnelli also claimed that he "snapped" one night before a performance when she was holding a microphone and he wasn't given one. "What kind of cheap joint is this, with only one mic?" he said at the time. The moment quickly passed after a staffer handed him a microphone, and Minnelli and Sinatra stepped on stage. Sinatra died in 1998.
