- *Lioness* has been renewed for a third season on Paramount+.

- Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldaña will return, with *Yellowstone* alum Ian Bohen joining the cast as a 'by-the-book Delta Force operator.'

- Filming reportedly wrapped in March 2026.

Grab your cloak and dagger because *Lioness* will soon stalk its way back to Paramount+.

*Yellowstone* creator Taylor Sheridan recruited a pair of heavy hitters in Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldaña for this engaging espionage drama, which tracks a team of female CIA operatives tasked with going undercover and cozying up to the women around prime targets of terrorism.

"Women can go under the radar," said Saldaña, who plays Lioness program boss Joe, in a 2023 chat with **. "They can come in as someone's date, someone's friend, and they can befriend another female. They can become someone's lover and for some reason, they don't present a threat. And I do believe that the female spy has been around since the beginning of time."

It's been a minute since the season 2 finale in December 2024, and fans are understandably curious if another mission is in the works. Here's everything we know about *Lioness* season 3.**

Will there be a Lioness season 3?

There will. *Lioness* was renewed for a third season in October 2025, roughly 10 months after the season 2 finale.

At the time, the show's official Instagram account shared a video announcing the renewal. "The hunt is far from over. #Lioness is coming back for season 3!" read the caption.**

As of this writing, Paramount+ has yet to release a season 3 synopsis, but James Jordan, who plays the operative Two Cups, teased the new episodes in a February 2026 interview with ScreenRant.

Speaking with the outlet, the actor said season 3's story will "take us all over the world," adding that it will put "the microscope on what these folks do" and "why they're so devoted" to Saldaña's Joe.

Jordan also touched on Sheridan's scripts for the series. The creator penned every episode of the first two seasons. "The writing just gets deeper and deeper, and I think that's what audiences want," Jordan said. "They're introduced to a character, now they want to see what's under the skin of that character, what really makes him tick. And Taylor being an actor himself, I think he wants to investigate character. He doesn't care much about plot, neither do we. We want to know what makes these folks tick, and audiences do, too, and that's what keeps them coming back."**

Who's in the cast of Lioness season 3?

The official *Lioness* Instagram account shared a post announcing that production began in October 2025. The accompanying photo shows Kidman, Saldaña, and Jordan, as well as cast members Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, Austen Hébert, Laysla De Oliveira, and Genesis Rodriguez. It's a safe bet they'll all turn up in season 3.

In April 2026, the show's account also shared a photo of Morgan Freeman on set as Edwin Mullins, the U.S. Secretary of State.

Joining the cast is actor Ian Bohen, a veteran of Sheridan projects like *Yellowstone*, *Wind River,* and *Sicario*. According to a press release, Bohen will play Grady, a "by-the-book Delta Force operator and primary K9 handler, skilled in battlefield tactics."**

Is there a Lioness season 3 release date?

Currently, there is no release date for *Lioness* season 3, but the *Fort Worth Star-Telegram* reports that the season wrapped filming in Fort Worth, Tex., last month. That bodes well for a release by the end of 2026.**

Where can I watch Lioness?

*Lioness* is available to stream on Paramount+.
