Look, when it comes to tonsils, Ariana Grande has pretty much the entire population beat. But digits? Who knew she was working an extra finger?
The Eternal Sunshine Deluxe artist graces the cover of Vogue Japan's March 2026 issue. Photographed by Michael Bailey-Gates and styled by Law Roach, the pop princess channels Audrey Hepburn in looks by Balenciaga, Dior, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, and more. But there's one photo in particular fans can't unsee.
Perched against a wall in a buttery-yellow Dior skirt set covered in dainty pastel bouquets, Grande ever-so-lightly touches the wall – her left hand cradled in a sheer-fabric glove. It's demure; it's lovely; it's Photoshopped? She definitely has an extra phalange between her pinky and ring finger.
The image quickly went viral, with fan account @ourpinkwitchh initially asking, "Who's responsible for giving ariana 6 fingers.... "
The Wicked star was quick to respond.
"Holy sh–," she wrote in the post's comments section.
"Oh my goodness how exciting! I've been saying I need some extra appendages so that I can start an album! Thankful for this," she wrote in another.

Thankfully, the gaffe has since been fixed on the Vogue Japan website.
As for the interview within, Grande was candid and vulnerable, giving readers a peek into her inner life and artistic truth.
"I feel like there have been a lot of times when I've been doing my best work creatively, and yet my celebrity has been louder than the work," she said, tears falling as she spoke. "And my mom has always been here to set the record straight in my head and remind me of my worth as an artist and as a human being every time that noise has almost derailed me."
Loved on the screen as well, Grande was recently nominated for a Golden Globe for her role as Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked: For Good. The Oscars, however, did not come a'calling, causing many to chalk the snub up to one of the most egregious of all time. But you can be the judge on that.
Always on to the next, Grande has her Eternal Sunshine Tour to look forward to. Starting in June, she'll be making her way across North America and London singing her albums Positions and Eternal Sunshine.
