Donna Mills is discussing her decision to join OnlyFans.
The Knots Landing alum announced that she will join the online subscription platform typically associated with adult content on Thursday. Now, she’s explaining why she wants to build a following on the site.
“They came to me, OnlyFans, and said, ‘Would you like to do this?’” she recalled in an interview with TMZ. “And I didn’t even know what it was. And they said, ‘You can do it to your taste, to what you want to do.’ And I said, ‘Well, yeah!’”
Mills began hosting the Knots Landing podcast We’re Knot Done Yet alongside her former costars Joan Van Ark and Michele Lee, and said that the show has ushered in a new era of fan interaction.
“For a long time now, I’ve wanted to connect more intimately with my fans, because I have found — from this podcast that I do — how devoted the fans are,” she said, noting she’s discovered, “how much myself and our other cast members mean to the fans.”
The actress, who played Abby Cunningham on the primetime soap from 1980 to 1989, teased what she’ll share in her posts on the platform.
“They’re gonna see behind the scenes, they’re gonna see me at home doing stuff that I do, you know?” she said. “And OnlyFans is very much... when they came to me, they said, ‘We don’t want you to do anything that makes you uncomfortable. If you’re comfortable with it, fine. If you’re not, you don’t have to do it.’”
Mills also teased that she has archival photos of herself that have never been shared before.
“Back in the day, I did a lot of — never naked photos, but shall we say sexy photos, and so I’ve got a lot of those that have never been seen, so we’ll be having those on the platform,” she said. “We’ll be having a lot of stuff. We’ll kind of take from the audience what they’re looking for and what they want.”
The actress went on to address the elephant in the room: Does she plan on sharing explicit photos on the platform? Mills said she’d only consider it if fans asked about it.
“They have to let me know that,” she said. “Then I’ll have to make a decision, whether I want to do that or not. But I don’t wanna give them that if that’s not what they really want.”

She expressed hesitation about the possibility of sharing naked photos.
“I think there are people out there that think, ‘Oh my God, I don’t wanna see an 85-year-old’s birthday suit!’”

When pressed on the subject, Mills said, “I’m gonna have to think about it.”
However, Mills remains open to the possibility of baring all for her OnlyFans subscribers.
“Who knows?” she said. “Don’t we just go along with what life brings? I don’t know.”
She added, “My first answer would be, ‘Oh no, I won’t do that.’ But then my second answer is, ‘I don’t know!’”
Mills noted that she wants to keep her material tasteful.
“I don’t wanna do anything that’s salacious, you know what I mean?” she said. “I don’t wanna do that. That isn’t my personality. That isn’t what I feel good doing. But if it’s cute and sexy and like that, we’ll see. We’ll see what the fans want.”
