Al Roker's daughter Leila is officially married — again!
The Today meteorologist's daughter, 27, tied the knot with Sylvain Gricourt for a second time in a wedding ceremony in New Jersey last month after their initial town hall nuptials in France, where they met and live, according to Vogue. Leila wed Gricourt in Paris on May 9, followed by a second New Jersey ceremony on May 23, per the couple's feature in the magazine published on Saturday, June 13.
In Paris, the couple first said "I do" in a civil ceremony, followed by a church ceremony at Église Saint-Odile, which Leila described to Vogue as "intimate and personal," and finally, a garden reception at Le Manoir de Gressy Hotel. The bride wore an Amsale Mirai gown paired with a cropped blazer.
The couple's New Jersey wedding, which was held less than two weeks later, was "a true homecoming," the bride told Vogue.
The American nuptials were full-circle, given that they were "officiated by Reverend Brenda Husson, who christened me as a baby," Leila told the magazine. The bride wore a Mark Ingram-designed princess gown with a dropped waist and French lace bolero for the ceremony. The latter detail was "a nod to my partner's heritage," Leila told Vogue of the groom, "and our life together in France."

As Leila and Gricourt exchanged vows in front of their loved ones in the United States, the bride also wore a piece of jewelry with a special history in her family. Her "something old" was a pearl bracelet that her dad Al, 71, gifted to her mother, Deborah Roberts, on their own wedding day, per Vogue.
Gricourt, who said his vows in both English and French, recalled the moment the newlyweds first crossed paths at a Paris bar in 2018 while Leila was studying abroad.

"There is something truly extraordinary about the way we met," he said of Leila, per Vogue. "We were born seven years and an ocean apart, and throughout our lives, we walked through places that had nothing to do with one another and crossed paths with hundreds of people. And yet, that night, we found ourselves face to face, and it all felt completely natural."
"I would even say that I could not have been anywhere else, and that I was meant to be there to find you," Gricourt said.
As for why the couple decided to have two ceremonies an ocean apart, Leila said they connected her life at home in the U.S. with her life in France. "Across both ceremonies, I felt an overwhelming sense of joy — expressed in different ways, much like my own life between two worlds," she told Vogue. "There was something incredibly meaningful about having a 'home' in two places."
"And seeing those worlds come together — not once, but twice — felt nothing short of magic," she added.

The groom, meanwhile, told the magazine, "In the U.S., watching Leila walk down the aisle was unexpectedly one of the most powerful moments for me, even within a cultural context different from my own. Seeing her in what I had always imagined as the 'traditional' bridal silhouette, walking toward me with her father, felt like the culmination of everything we had worked toward over the past 14 months."
"In that moment, it all became real — we were truly becoming husband and wife," Gricourt continued.

After the couple's first wedding ceremony in Paris, Al himself announced the news that his daughter had wed. While discussing the hantavirus outbreak aboard the MV Hondius during a May 12 Today broadcast, the proud dad mentioned that he had recently returned from Europe for his daughter's nuptials.
"I was coming from Europe this weekend from my daughter's wedding, and the CDC was asking people to voluntarily test," Al said. "But they didn't say for what, so I just wonder if it was a precaution here."
Roberts, 65, first shared that her daughter would be having two wedding ceremonies back in October while appearing on Live with Kelly and Mark. After host Kelly Ripa asked whether the wedding would be held in "France or in the U.S.," Roberts replied, "How about both?"
"We have to do a small ceremony in France because she lives in Paris," she explained. "And so they have to do something small there, and I said, 'Let's keep it teeny tiny' — and then she wants to come home."

Leila further elaborated on the couple's decision to wed in both the U.S. and France on Instagram while sharing their Vogue wedding feature. "We didn't just celebrate our marriage once — we celebrated it twice," she wrote. "Between Paris and the New York area, our wedding story unfolded across two countries, two cultures, and two unforgettable weekends."
"Every detail felt like it honored the life we've built together over the last eight years. What was most heartwarming to us was seeing our families and friends come together so naturally, despite the barrier of an ocean, languages, and backgrounds that once seemed worlds apart," Leila continued. "In the end, it felt less like two weddings and more like one celebration spanning across our two worlds."
She and Gricourt first announced their engagement in March 2025. The two met seven years prior, a year after Leila moved to Paris to study at the American University of Paris, she said in an Instagram post at the time.
"8 years ago, I moved to Paris 🇫🇷, 7 years ago I met my person and best friend 💖, and 2 days ago, that person took me on the most amazing surprise trip to Venice 🇮🇹 to ask me to spend the rest of our lives together 💍 💕💕," Leila wrote alongside a collection of photos from the Venice, Italy, restaurant where Gricourt proposed.
Al shared his excitement for his daughter's engagement last March by sharing more photos from Gricourt's proposal. At the time, he wrote, "We could not be happier, and look forward to planning for these two wonderful young folks coming together."
