Meghan Markle squeezed in some downtime on the final day of her trip to Australia with Prince Harry.
On April 17, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, started her morning in Sydney with a stroll through the beachside suburb of Bronte, walking along the scenic Tamarama-to-Bronte coastal path with her friend Markus Anderson.
Video shared by 9 News Sydney showed Meghan dressed casually for the outing, wearing a black jacket paired with black leggings and sneakers. She shielded her eyes from the early morning sun with a baseball cap and sunglasses.
Anderson has long been a close friend of Meghan’s, dating back to her pre-royal days in Toronto, where he worked as a consultant for Soho House. The pair have remained close over the years, with Anderson often spotted supporting Meghan at key moments in her life — even helping introduce her to her Best Life Co. co-founder ahead of her April 17 weekend retreat appearance.

The Duchess of Sussex previously opened up to PEOPLE about her love of fitness, sharing that she loves to slip into yoga classes in her local community of Montecito, California.
"I go to [yoga] classes that sometimes have 40 to 50 people in them and just walk in like, ‘Hi!’ ” she said with a laugh last year. "Of course, at the beginning, that felt like a lot. By the way, I think anybody walking into a yoga class with 50 people and everyone looks up, it’s going to feel a little uncomfortable!”
But now? "I love it. It’s the best. I had missed it," Meghan said about returning to the practice, which her mom, Doria Ragland, teaches in Los Angeles.
The Duchess of Sussex's coastal walk came just before she and Harry, 41, set out for their last leg of their engagements in Australia, with a first stop to meet volunteer first responders at Bondi Surf Bathers' Life Saving Club in a show of support for the organization that responded to the December 2025 terror attack against the Jewish community at Bondi Beach.

Elsewhere on the schedule, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sailed with Invictus Australia around Sydney Harbour — recreating a scene from their royal tour of Australia in 2018 — and caught a rugby match at Allianz Stadium with Anderson, a longtime friend of Meghan's.
Meghan also headlined a "girls weekend" retreat organized by Her Best Life podcast on Friday at the InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach. Photos shared to Instagram showed her posing in a taupe outfit with Her Best Life co-host and co-founder Gemma O'Neill, laughing and holding hands as they shared the stage.

O'Neill revealed said that Anderson, a mutual friend, was the one to connect her and Meghan, and he and Prince Harry attended her Q&A.
"We could not adore you more @meghan! Thank you for your vulnerability, honesty and joy 💗," the podcast said about her participation.
Prince Harry and Meghan have spent nearly a week in Australia for a trip that their office said would mix private, business and philanthropic engagements. The agenda began on April 14 and saw them make appearances in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney, with a schedule focused around mental health, community resilience, and supporting veterans and their families, plus private meetings and special projects.
It marked the couple's first return to the continent since they spent time there during a royal tour of the South Pacific in 2018 when they were working royals. Harry and Meghan stepped back from those positions in 2020 and moved to California, where they continue to live with their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
