The men of *The Bachelorette* are sharing the "roses and thorns" of their experience on the show now that ABC has pulled the plug on Taylor Frankie Paul's season.

Of the 22 eligible bachelors who competed for the heart of the *Secret Lives of Mormon Wives* star, nearly half have spoken out on social media — and it's a grab bag of emotions, ranging from empathy for Paul to feelings of betrayal.

Johnnie LaRossa, a 30-year-old former professional baseball player from New York, revealed he was "grateful for the experience" on the show, despite the outcome.

"I'm doing okay," added Brooklyn tech executive Malik Evans, 30. "Hope to share more soon." Loan officer Brandon Perce, 28, posted a cryptic "..." on his Instagram Stories.

Conrad Ukropina, a 32-year-old startup founder from Santa Monica, simply posted a photo on Instagram of himself and Paul on *The Bachelorette*. But it was the song choice that raises eyebrows: "Slide Away" by Miley Cyrus, about the demise of a relationship.

Doug Mason, Paul's reported final rose recipient, released a video statement on Instagram, "sending prayers to Taylor because that was her moment and her moment was blocked. All we can do right now is just be hopeful… I hope you guys have a great day, and let's stay positive and show nothing but support for people in need."

Some of the suitors may not have found love on *The Bachelorette*, but they did find friendship.

"I can honestly say this was one of the best groups of men I've ever been around," gushed Clayton Johnson, a 36-year-old singer-songwriter from Nashville. "So much integrity, respect and heart across the board. Even the tough moments never took away from that. Any woman would be lucky to be with any of these guys."

The harshest reaction comes from one man who is so upset, he chose to express his feelings anonymously. "Part of me is just so f---ing pissed," the contestant exclusively told E! News. "We all gave up so much to go do this. We all came in with open hearts. We treated her kindly and respectfully and gave her a second chance."

Kevin Montero, a physical therapist from Miami, has yet to make a statement.

The mystery man also told the outlet that Paul talked openly about her romantic history, namely her ex-husband Tate Paul and on-and-off boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, whom she is now accused of assaulting during a domestic dispute.

"[We] tried to let her turn over a new leaf and we all believed her when she said she did," he confessed. "Obviously, the way she acted and the way she treated all of us in hindsight is just a waste of time, a waste of energy, a waste of emotional intelligence."

As for Paul, she told ** on Tuesday, "I've had better days."

Two days later, ABC announced its decision to pull the plug on *The Bachelorette* season 22 after footage of Paul throwing a chair at Mortensen was published by TMZ.

"In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of *The Bachelorette* at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family," said a Disney Entertainment Television spokesperson.
