One day after announcing the breakup, the WeWoreWhat founder returned to Instagram Stories on Saturday, January 31 with a simple message: "rly appreciate the kindness and support," paired with a heart emoji. The post showed Bernstein sitting cross-legged on the floor in pajamas.
Bernstein also shared glimpses of how she's spending her time in the immediate aftermath of the split. In one Story, she wrote "family weekend" over a serene photo of snowy water, signaling she had stepped away from the city. She later posted additional photos and videos of herself playing with a small child and a puppy.

The 33-year-old first confirmed the breakup on Friday January 30, explaining why she had chosen to keep the situation private until then. "I've been quiet about my personal life, and wasn't ready to speak on it until now. We're stepping away from our relationship with love and respect," she wrote in an Instagram Story. She was clear that the decision wasn't driven by scandal or a single incident, noting there was "no big dramatic reason" and that they ultimately weren't "the right forever."
