The royal line of succession has been shaken up and moved around — but the place do members of the British royal family stand in relation to their place in line to the throne?
Queen Elizabeth II had been head of the Commonwealth since 1952 when she died in September 2022 at the age of 96, making her the longest-reigning British monarch in history. She and the late Prince Philip's eldest son, King Charles III, was officially anointed king at his coronation ceremony in Might 2023.
Prince William follows close behind Charles as subsequent in line for the throne. Although it might appear Prince Harry can be after his older brother, he was bumped back following the delivery of William and Princess Kate Middleton's youngsters.
When Kate and William welcomed their first baby, Prince George, in July 2013, the infant took the spot above his uncle. The Cambridges later welcomed Princess Charlotte in Might 2015 and Prince Louis in April 2018, who then entered spots three and 4, respectively.
Harry, who's presently fifth in line, is adopted by his youngsters, Archie and Lilibet, whom he shares with Meghan Markle.

Upon the arrival of Kate and William's firstborn, Prince Harry was bumped down, and his place in line stored creeping down because the brood of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge expanded. MEGA

And then came a woman! Charlotte stands forward of her younger brother, Louis, as a result of a U.Okay. Parliament regulation handed in 2013 — when Kate was pregnant with the baby — that permits the succession of siblings to be determined by age, against gender. Previous to that, guidelines meant that an older sister can be preceded by her youthful brother. MEGA

Here comes Archie! Harry and Meghan's child boy is sixth in line to the throne. Harry and Meghan's second baby, daughter Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, is seventh in line to the throne. The royal family confirmed in March 2023 that Lilibet will use the "Princess Lilibet of Sussex" title now that her grandfather Charles is the reigning monarch. YouTube

The late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Edward's youngest son now sits in 14th place, followed by his two youngsters, James, Viscount Severn and Woman Louise Windsor in 15th and 16th place, respectively.
