About Our Ads Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Atlanta Dream veteran DeWanna Bonner continued to show her support for star teammate Angel Reese after falling short in the WNBA Finals.
The Dream were one game away from winning their first WNBA title, but they ultimately fell to the Golden State Valkyries, 68-63, in Game 7 of the WNBA Finals on Saturday at Chase Center.
A day after the winner-take-all showdown, Reese reflected on her breakthrough season in a heartfelt Instagram post .
"I'm so grateful & blessed," part of Reese's lengthy caption read. "God, THANK YOU for allowing me to play another season full of health, love, passion, joy, community, and so much more. When I pray before every game, I thank God for ALL the highs & lows because I truly mean it."
The three-time WNBA All-Star also thanked Atlanta's fans, who welcomed her with open arms after her blockbuster trade from the Chicago Sky in April.
"Atlanta, you've meant the world to me in just 7 months," Reese added. "I pray I get to experience this kind of joy forever. ♥️ Back to work! See y'all in 6 months. ⏰"

Fans and fellow players alike showered Reese with support in the comments section.
But Bonner's message stood out as the 39-year-old vet offered Reese some words of encouragement.
"I keep telling you, 'YOU'RE JUST GETTING STARTED!' 🫶🏾❤️," Bonner wrote.
Reese had an incredible first season with the Dream, setting multiple WNBA records and capping it with the 2026 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year award.
As for Bonner, she joined Atlanta in August following a buyout with the Phoenix Mercury. She is set to enter free agency in the offseason.
