Archive Photos // Getty Images Julia Stiles paid tribute to her friend and co-star Heath Ledger during “Dedication Night” on Dancing With the Stars this week, and was joined by the film’s all-star cast, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gabrielle Union, Larisa Oleynik, Andrew Keegan, and Susan May Pratt. But not included in the reunion? David Krumholtz, who played Michael Eckman in the 1999 film.
David hopped on Instagram and explained why he didn’t join the rest of the cast for Julia’s tribute, saying “Here I am in the Catskill Mountains, upstate New York. Fall foliage in full effect. I'm here shooting a film. I could not be in L.A. for Dancing With the Stars last night.”
“I would have loved, loved, loved to have been there,” he continued. “Everyone looked so amazing. Julia's tribute to my dear friend, who I miss every single day, was amazing and stunning, and I'm so proud of her. I thought the cast looked amazing. They all look so young still.”
He then joked, “It would have been weird because I've shaved what's left of my hair and then it becomes a whole internet fodder....”
You can watch Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa’s full contemporary dance to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” (the song Heath sings to Julia in 10 Things I Hate About You ) below. The cameo from Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gabrielle Union, Larisa Oleynik, Andrew Keegan, and Susan May Pratt is at the very end!
