The 2026 WNBA Finals have fans on the edge of their seats as the series is currently tied 2-2 ahead of Game 5 at Chase Center.

Evidently, a plethora of fans want to catch a glimpse of the important matchup in the best-of-seven series between the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries. The list apparently includes Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham.

After all, a viral post on X claimed that Cunningham has been invited to be in attendance for Game 5 of the 2026 WNBA Finals on her 'No Hesitation' podcast.

The rumour was started by X handle 'Fever Updates,' which posted a muted clip from Cunningham's podcast. The fake post claims that Cunningham has been invited to the game and that she plans to bring Caitlin Clark with her.

"I'm invited to Game 5 of the WNBA Finals. I'm thinking of bringing someone, maybe Caitlin Clark, with me to the game," the X handle claimed .

It added, "It's unbelievable what both teams are doing right now. And of course, my favorite person to win Finals MVP is Angel Reese."

While Cunningham has spoken about the 2026 WNBA Finals and the performances of top players like Angel Reese, the quote about her attendance at the game is completely false.

The entire most recent episode of her podcast doesn't include this quote, and it's likely been posted to rile up fans ahead of Game 5 of the 2026 WNBA Finals.
