Norway head coach Stale Solbakken lost his composure on the touchline Saturday, throwing a water bottle at one of his assistant coaches in frustration after Jude Bellingham's first half stoppage-time equalizer leveled the score for England in their World Cup quarterfinal at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Norway had taken a surprise lead in the 36th minute when Andreas Schjelderup unleashed a stunning strike off the far post, beating England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford after the ball appeared to catch him off guard.

The goal capped an impressive stretch of play from Norway, who had grown into the match after a slow start and limited England's early dominance of possession.

But just as Norway appeared set to head into the break with the lead intact, England responded in dramatic fashion.

Bellingham latched onto a pass from Anthony Gordon, skipped past three Norwegian defenders inside the box, and drilled a low shot past goalkeeper Orjan Nyland to level the score at 1-1 in the second minute of stoppage time.

The goal proved too much for Solbakken to contain his emotions. Visibly incensed on the sideline, the Norway manager hurled a water bottle in frustration, narrowly missing the shins of one of his assistant coaches in the process.

Bellingham's equalizer marked his fifth goal of the tournament, and sixth in World Cup competition overall, moving him into rarefied company for an English player.

Only Gary Lineker, with 10 World Cup goals, and Harry Kane, who has scored 14, sit above him on England's all-time list.

The goal also continued a trend for the 22-year-old, who has repeatedly delivered decisive moments for England throughout the tournament, having already broken the deadlock against Panama and provided a first-half strike in the Round of 16 win over Mexico.

The equalizer came at a pivotal moment in the match, with Norway having grown increasingly threatening in the period before halftime.

England had controlled the opening exchanges but struggled to create clear chances, and Norway's Alexander Sorloth squandered a promising counterattacking opportunity to potentially double the lead for his side just minutes before Bellingham's intervention, a moment that looked increasingly costly in hindsight following England's response.
