Bryson DeChambeau laughed about Paul Casey’s driving distance by questioning how many cart paths he hit in his round.
DeChambeau and Casey are taking on LIV Golf UK as the Saudi-backed circuit returns from to action after a nearly 7-week hiatus thanks to the postponing of the New Orleans event. The event has yet to be rescheduled as they hunt for new investors.
Four events remain on their calendar, and LIV golfers are hoping to make the most of what could be their final season thanks to a funding pull from the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund. It emerged this week that the season-ending team championship event is expected to be canceled, with players already looking for exit strategies.

Lucas Herbert, LIV's highest-placed finisher at The Open Championship last week, leads the event with DeChambeau sitting right behind him. DeChambeau was once in second place at Royal Birkdale, but a two-stroke penalty knocked him down and he stumbled from there.
LIV Golf UK has a different vibe though, as the music plays loud and a handful of fans follow around the two-time U.S. Open Champion. While he was five-under on Friday, the Crushers GC went 13-under overall, and Paul Casey made a strength statement.
After being sidelined by injury, the former PGA Tour veteran returns to the Crushers this week. Casey showed resilience on Friday, firing a three-under 69 to bounce back from an opening-round 73.

He led the field in driving distance for the second round, averaging an impressive 312.1 yards, which was a massive improvement from his 261.4-yard average on Thursday.
DeChambeau averaged just 290.1 yards off the tee on Friday and made a joke when he was told his teammate led the field in driving distance.
“Really? How many cart paths did he hit?” said DeChambeau with a laugh.

“I don't know what he was doing in those nine weeks off,” he added with a smile. “No, he's always been sneaky long.
“It's funny, he has this piercing low bullet. He's such a great player, I'm so glad to have him back on the team. I need him, we need him for the last few weeks of this year.
“Travis was great, but ultimately Paul's been a stable piece in our team and very excited to have him back and glad he's healthy.”
