Victoria Gotti is ready to sacrifice her life for her son's. The daughter of the late infamous mobster John Gotti is dealing with chronic kidney disease and needs a transplant. Her son, Carmine, agreed to donate his, but he's currently behind bars for a COVID-19 fraud scheme.

Victoria saw what happened to her father while in prison. The head of the Gambino crime family died of throat cancer in jail in 2002. She believes he didn't get the proper care while in prison. Victoria is worried something similar could happen to her son if he donates while in jail.

Evidently, Victoria doesn't have much faith in the medical system in prison. TMZ reports that she would rather forego the transplant if her son must recover while in jail. He was convicted in 2024 of fraudulently obtaining more than $1 million. Prosecutors are seeking 31 to 44 months for the crime he pleaded guilty to, along with a $1.25 million fine.

Earlier this week, the star of Growing Up Gotti pleaded with a judge to put her son on probation so that he could recover properly. Her father was 61 when he died of cancer while behind bars.

Carmine's attorney, Steven Metcalf, made an emergency request for probation on Thursday evening. He wrote that the transplant surgery is scheduled to happen on March 30. Three surgeons will perform the operation. Apparently, Carmine hasn't been cleared for surgery and must be within two weeks. He is proposing that sentencing for Carmine, which was supposed to happen today, be pushed back to sometime between mid to late April.

Reports suggest that Carmine is the only potential match for Victoria to get a new kidney. If that doesn't happen, she could suffer a terminal condition or permanent debilitation.
