Nicki Minaj may not be up for a Grammy this year, but she's still a hot topic.

Grammy Awards host Trevor Noah poked fun at the outspoken rapper, who's made headlines recently for her vocal support of President Donald Trump, during his opening monologue at the ceremony on Sunday, Feb. 1.

While walking around the star-studded Crypto.com Arena, Noah gushed over the various music superstars in attendance, from Queen Latifah and Justin Bieber to Miley Cyrus and Bad Bunny.

However, while Noah had plenty of praise for the who's who of pop music, he also had some shade for Minaj, who's raised eyebrows among fans for her political alignment with President Trump.

The hottest names in music hit the red carpet at the Grammy Awards Feb. 1. These were the night's most eye-catching looks, starting with Sabrina Carpenter's jaw-dropping look. Scroll through for more photos from the night!

"Nicki Minaj is not here," Noah said. "She is still at the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues."

Noah then went on to impersonate Trump in a hypothetical debate with Minaj about whose buttocks is bigger. The hip-hop superstar has previously rapped about her derriere, most notably on the 2014 hit "Anaconda."

"Actually Nicki, I have the biggest a--. Everybody's saying it, Nicki," Noah quipped, before throwing in a quick reference to Minaj's rap rival, Cardi B. "I know they say it's you, but it's me. WAP, WAP, WAP. Look at it, baby."

It's music's biggest night! The 2026 Grammy Awards kicked off with the premiere ceremony on Feb. 1 with winners like FKA twigs and the soundtrack for Oscar-nominee "Sinners." See photos from the big night. Darren Criss kicked off the premiere ceremony with plenty of music nerd jokes to start the night.

Minaj solidified her allyship with the Trump administration in December when she sat down with conservative figure Erika Kirk at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest conference in Phoenix, praising both Trump and Vice President JD Vance for their relatability.

Nicki Minaj, left, appears alongside President Donald Trump onstage as he delivers remarks during the Treasury Department's Trump Accounts Summit at Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 28, 2026.

"I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president. I don't even know if he knows this, but he has given so many people hope that there's a chance to beat the bad guys and to win and to do it with your head held high and your integrity intact," Minaj said at the time.

Minaj joined Trump on Jan. 28 for his Trump Accounts Summit, an event hosted by the Treasury Department. The summit centered on spreading awareness about "Trump Accounts," a new pilot program from the administration that will give children born after Jan. 1, 2025, and before Dec. 31, 2028, investment accounts with a one-time deposit of $1000.

The Grammy-nominated rapper also showed support for Trump's wife, Melania Trump, at the Jan. 29 premiere of her new documentary "Melania."
