While the 2026 Grammy Awards took place in downtown Los Angeles at the Crypto.com Arena, West Hollywood turned up the heat this past weekend, serving up a true musical spectacular for residents and visitors alike.

Home to luxury hotels like The West Hollywood Edition, legendary LGBTQ+ nightlife, and spas galore, the city has historically been considered an L.A. hot spot. It's also a favorite of the stars and, with every awards season, becomes a bustling locale for unrivaled people-watching.

"The city has long been a creative epicenter, where artists, tastemakers, and industry leaders naturally gravitate not just for the awards themselves, but for the celebration that surrounds them," says Tom Kiely, president and CEO of Visit West Hollywood. "Our proximity to the Hollywood Hills, paired with a strong sense of privacy and community, makes West Hollywood a place where creatives feel at home, and visitors quickly understand why."

Over Grammys weekend, many parties and events popped up in the city. At Sunset Tower's Tower Bar, Epic Records and Hennessy hosted their pre-Grammys party. Attendees included Zara Larsson, Tyla, Adam Lambert, Kesha, and more. As If threw an after-party for Hilary Duff's Los Angeles tour stop at Beaches Tropicana, and Jill Scott performed at The Sun Rose.

L.A. has a rich history with the music industry that's woven into the fabric of WeHo, with venues like the Troubadour and The Roxy that launched the careers of Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, and other marquee names. Today, haunts like NightBird Recording Studios at the Sunset Marquis carry that legacy forward, and the buzz surrounding Grammys weekend allows for that hum to continue.

"These spaces reinforce West Hollywood's role as a living, breathing home for music where history is honored, and new greatness is still being created," Kiely says. "Artists have long been drawn to the city for its proximity to recording studios, production hubs, and the creative communities of the Hollywood Hills, as well as its culture that values artistic freedom and collaboration."

Beyond the iconic music venues, the neighborhood also serves as a respite for A-listers, who come to Sunset Boulevard for a much-deserved reprieve from the chaos, whether at one of the many hotels or at the spas, including the 1 Hotel's Bamford Wellness Spa. "The city's deep wellness offering plays a key role behind the scenes, providing the spas, fitness studios, and beauty experiences where talent gets red-carpet ready before stepping out for the night," Kiely says. "Together, our hotels, dining, nightlife, and wellness experiences create a seamless flow from preparation to celebration, making the excitement both electric and uniquely West Hollywood."
