Hilary Duff is answering all of our early aughts burning questions!
The 38-year-old pop star and actress had a well-documented feud with fellow child star Lindsay Lohan back in their heyday, and Duff got candid about the drama during the Wednesday, Feb. 25 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast.
When host Alex Cooper asked Duff if she "intentionally" crashed the premiere of Lohan's movie Freaky Friday in 2003, Duff replied, "I think absolutely yes. I was a teenager."
She added that her A Cinderella Story costar, Chad Michael Murray, who was also the leading man in Freaky Friday, scored Duff the invite.
"Chad Michael Murray invited me," she said. "I don't wanna start any more stuff, But, like, he was like, 'You should come with me.' And I was like, 'Mhmm. Probably I should.' "

And when Cooper asked if Duff was "surprised" when Lohan subsequently turned up at the premiere of her film, Cheaper by the Dozen, later that year, she replied, "No."
"I mean, that was, like, my childhood nemesis," Duff quipped. "I'm sure my publicist will be like, what the f--- are you doing? But now it's so many years later. Like, who cares? It does not matter."

In fact, Duff said that she and Lohan buried the hatchet years ago.
"Lindsay came up to me at a club once and was like, 'Are we good?' And I was like, 'We're good.' She was like, 'Let's take a shot.' I'm like, 'Okay.' It was amazing," she recalled.

According to the Younger star, some of the drama between Duff and Lohan stemmed from their seemingly simultaneous relationships with the late Aaron Carter.
"This is where all this stuff started. There was no social media to be like, who was dating who?" Duff recalled. "You just take people's word for it and then people get mad at you. I mean if you're, like, Lindsay Lohan or me, he's, like, probably dating both of us, like, you know what I mean?"

She shared that she first met Carter at his birthday party with fellow guests Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and Amanda Bynes.
"I met him there. There was, like, some cute sparks. And then I think I pitched the idea of having him come on the show," she said of Carter's appearance on Lizzie McGuire. "He was so cute."
Duff and Carter dated from 2001 to 2004. She shared a touching tribute to the late musician after his death in 2022.
"I am deeply sorry that life was so hard and that you had to struggle in front of the whole world," she wrote on in an Instagram post at the time. "You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent."
"Boy, did my teenage self love you deeply," she added. "Sending love to your family at this time. Rest easy."
