Danny Dyer has been nominated for a prestigious acting award for playing moustachioed businessman Freddie Jones in the hit Disney series Rivals. The 47-year-old led the Royal Television Society nominations and will face off against McKinley Belcher III for his performance in Netflix series Eric and Sonny Walker who starred in Channel 4's The Gathering in the best supporting actor category. The Londoner won critical acclaim for his starring role in the raunchy Jilly Copper adaptation which saw his character embark on an affair with Lizzie Vereker, played by Katherine Parkinson, 46.
